Ce premier album est une sorte de peinture du paysage humain baignée dans des univers sonores envoûtants au-dessus desquels plane la voix au grain particulier d’Alain Verdier interprétant des textes forts, mi-spoken words mi-chantés, le tout éclairé par la voix de Khadija Othman qui assure des lignes mélodiques élégantes et crée à chaque fois de nouveaux espaces dans de nombreux titres. Il y a de l’ironie, du désespoir, de l’humour et c’est intelligent. Chaque chanson est un film qui aurait pu être réalisé par un Luis Buñuel actuel.
Afin de porter cet opus à son meilleur niveau, le mixage a été réalisé en Angleterre à Eastbourne par le talentueux Ian Caple (Tricky, Tinderstick, Kate Bush, Yoko Ono, Simple Minds, Bashung, Higelin,Yan Tersen, etc …)
